Typical EB Sunday
I guess you can call it typical anyway because I haven't experienced it any other way:
It all start sometime at dawn or just before the sun turns up in the east when we wake up to the rhytms of whatever tune that was loaded into the HUGE alarm-wake-up-centre, this Sunday it was the last CD from Cat rapes dog People as prey. We chose that one while waiting for their next CD that will be released in September this year, their first since 1999!
--- Cat Rapes Dog – People As Prey
Then we go out to the pigstie where we find ourselves a real fat pig that we slaughter so we have some bacon with our eggs that we got from the henhouse. This is washed down with some freshly squeezed orange juice we have flewn in from Florida every day, even Sundays. The end of breakfast is then marked with a mug of real strong Classic Festivita coffee. We are now awake!
If the weather allows, sometimes even if it isn't, we put on our heavy EBM outfits and go for a stroll, or walk if that's the spirit of the day. Today this walk was accompanied by none others than:
--- Pouppée Fabrikk - We Have Come To Drop Bombs (2013 Remaster)
Back from the stroll/walk we prepare lunch and today it was Danish pastry on the menu, yummy!
Rest of the day we just chill, relax and take it easy, loading our batteries so to say. A typical EB Sunday in not so many words . . .

Choices
You know how it is when you have set yourself a goal that you achieve and then where are you at right this very moment and wonder; oh well, and then what? Little as it is for me today, so was yesterday and will most likely be so tomorrow. I know this because I know myself well enough by now, perhaps better than any other living person.
It's about the Trinity, that is, the three best albums ever released, and a little about how it happened from the day I decided that the big three were, and until now then they hang framed on one of my walls. Honestly I do not know exactly when it started but it must have been sometime in the second half of the hip '70s, there was certainly some kind of drug in the picture as silverrom or hashish. The talk goes and records spinning on the plate as they did in those days when someone suddenly comes up with the brilliant idea that every one who is present to pick out three records that he, there was usually no ladies on these occasions, was considered judgment absolute best ever made. Any thought for a long time during which more drugs was consumed and after that moment it was time to talk about the three selected. I can not remember what the others opted for tiles but my three were: Sgt Pepper by the Beatles, Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie and the Beatles' White Album. Think it's called that anyway. The rules were harsh and did not allow selection of two albums by the same artist so I had to think hard again and came to the Yellow brick road with Elton John.
Since then I have kept myself to these three when it is actually not issued a single plate since hitting one of them on the feet. Of course, it has been released good albums in the meantime but no quite up to scratch: to be played over and over again without you tire of it. The property possesses today only these three plates. Point.
Half a year ago, (set a goal) I decided to get up vinyl copies of the Big Three and stroking them when I found a place that sells frames customized just for vinyl pouch. After much flipping the disc crates and cardboard boxes on skivbörsar and diffuse locations, I managed to finish so there hangs them now and yes I am happy with what I accomplished but how do I proceed?
It is actually nicely with covers so now it's just running, I thought. Not as tightly focused on three specific cover, but just go berserk. Clear disk purses on vinyls with cool, stylish covers? Not only would this be extremely costly but also bestow ridicule on the whole thing so I decided to just invest in covers for CDs, if I really like. Which is nice. Now it is unfortunately so that they are quite numerous so why would I want a little help with choosing. Them first three covers/vinyls out are:
And your choice is?

Guten Abend
24 years is a long time but as they say: time flies when you have fun but all things must come to an end sooner or later. If you're not the Rolling Stones of course where time stopped some three decades ago and has never moved since.
German group And One has left us with the words from one of the founders, Steve Naghavi:
"Für And One besteht kein Bedarf mehr, weder bei einer neuen Plattenfirma zu unterschreiben, noch für And One ein eigenes Label zu gründen. Die letzten Werke lassen wir einfach nur pressen und verkaufen sie selber auf Konzerten und online oder so. Mal sehn. Scheiß auf Charts oder Konventionen. And One ist durch mit der Branche."
When will we hear those words from Dave Gahan? Soon and in English hopefully.

Demonic choices
Why it's easier to pick funniest word of the morning than what CD album to buy? Conan has the allmighty answer to that: "the devil knows and the devil cares". Don't know who Conan is? What? Where were you born? And when? He's THE man. A barbarian from Cimmeria so what he says kinda is a bit like the law. Period. Why I don't ask the devil what CD to buy? Well, it's not that easy even for us who have direct access to him because he is a bit of an ass when it comes to interacting with mortals so we have to do with the second best; you! These are the two candidates for new album purchases in April now that Skinny Puppy's Weapon and Sofia Jannok's Ahpi (Wide As Oceans) is released in May:
No, we don't supply the links so you can listen to them because we simply don't trust you. Who said that?
Funniest word this morning? Panties of course.

Neuköln
I sure would like to have a talk with the moron who came up with the phrase 'dark electro' and all other bullshitty pre-electro words, cause that's what it all is: empty words. There can only be electro, not dark, light, goth or fusion electro because that is plain stupid so stop using these words NOW! And look forward to May 24th instead when X-Fusion releases a new album. That's pretty much all we know at the moment since title and cover can't be find anywhere, at least not in the places we've looked so if you have more information about this you are more than welcome to share it with us. Thanks.
Until then you're free to enjoy this X-Fusion song sponsored by Swedish help organisation Hjärt- & Lungfonden:

the Triunity
So, finally I found the third album and maybe it's no holy triunity for the common man or woman out there in the snowy streets of Stockholm but for me it's important. Been searching for these three covers for as long as I can't remember and today I found the last one, Ziggy, at the market in Hötorget (Haysquare) which was the last place I expected to find it which show that you shall never expect anything but the unexpected.
Why these three albums? Partly it's to show all of you readers that we have a softer side alongside our tough, more harsh one but mainly it's because these are the three best albums ever recorded. Period!
Hugs and smooches

Genocide
Who do you think it is that's sorry he can't murder the whole human race? Maybe you will find out May 3rd when Johan Van Roy releases his 9th full length album 'When evil speaks' under the Suicide Commando alias:

Easter Warning
Sticking out our cute nose the last day of March with a WARNING: do not, we repeat NOT, buy this album:
Why not you ask and we have the answer to that question: it's UGLY! Pure utter crap with a hideous cover and 13 (yes, we couldn't believe our eyes when we saw that) songs that turns everyone who listens to them into a walking dead state of mind. If you're one of those who are into self-torturing and have an hour of your life not knowing what to do with, just download it. Gahan and his gang have enough money, more than enough, so we recommend bying this one instead:
Whaddya mean you can't find it? How is that our problem? Show some initiative for synth's sake!

Beobachter Introduction
Howdy GOOD music lovers and welcome to the first inlay presented by the Elektronische Beobachter a.k.a me. First out is a German group that wasn't supposed to be anymore than a one-song project back in 1992; Lights of Euphoria; with the following line-up: Torben Schmidt (instruments) and Jimmy Machon (vocals). The song I picked is called Schwarze Sonne which is kinda strange when the song is in English but nevertheless a nice one. You can read more about the Black Sun below.
Disclaimer: Lights of Euphoria and its members does not have any connections to the Black Sun other than the title of this song. As far as I know.)
The term Black Sun (German Schwarze Sonne), also referred to as the Sonnenrad (German for "Sun Wheel"), is a symbol of esoteric or occult significance. Its design is based on a sun wheel incorporated in a floor of Wewelsburg Castle during the Nazi era. Today, it may also be used in occult currents of Germanic neopaganism, and in Irminenschaft or Armanenschaft-inspired esotericism - but not necessarily in a racial or neo-Nazi context. Despite its contemporary use, the Black Sun had not been identified with the ornament in the Wewelsburg before 1991, although it had been discussed as an esoteric concept in neo-Nazi circles since the 1950's. Marshall break
We must be the most decent and well-behaved organisation on planet Earth when we break up from our free Sunday today to give you the following news: Krystal System have plans to make a second video to one of the songs from last album Rage. Title song video have been on display on our plasma screen all week, sometime with and sometime without sound, and presented here earlier. Yes, two staff members think Bonnie is the cutest singer slash guitar woman now alive and the expectations skyrocketed for the next video from Rage that will be I Wanna Be. If we're real lucky they also make a video to Fantôme, my favourite song. Here's a samplemix of both songs:
I Wanna Be and Fantôme sample
Both Bonnie and 7 are worth a break after their good work with the new album Rage that have been playing on three devices since we picked it up on Sound pollution March 15: stereo, smartPhone and laptop. Since we don't write reviews like most critics, who we think are morons, all you get from us is one word: GOOD. Move your butt off the chair where it's placed and visit your record dealer and buy it, downloading it does not cope!

When in Stockholm
Since we have faith in you, our readers, we won't run around like horny foxes telling you what NOT to do when in Stockholm because you already know that. So we jump right to the poodles core (Swedish expression) and present three places that you MUST visit when you're here and if you already are a citizen of course. In no particular order they are:
Sound pollution - located in what some people call the heart of Stockholm; the Old town; this is where we started bying records when we came to our senses musically sometime ago since it was the only store (that we knew of) back then with a decent selection in stock. Today it's not alone but they still have the largest number of GOOD music titles.

Exterior evening view
Delicious Goldfish Records - located a bit outside Stockholm; in Solna; you find the largest of the three when we're talking floor space and a very large collection of vinyls, both new and used. Nice prizes on new CD's together with a very cunning and friendly staff, including the owner, makes the journey here (20 minutes from T-Centralen) worthwile.
Interiour view
Kollaps Records - located in Södermalm we find the latest (opened in February) and the smallest of the three. We can recommend this shop to the real geeks that still listen to cassettes when they have quite a collection of these, old relics? We only know ONE person who listen to cassettes today, the year 2013. You know who you are.... :)

Haus Mix Eins
For some it's the most tedious work of all but it has to be done sooner or later. We have found that doing it later makes it more tedious than doing it sooner and if you do it while listening to music it's a walk in the park. Whoever came up with that expression must've been either bored stiff or a total bore because it suxx but it's the only one we know so we'll stuck with it. What it is that's so tedious? Cleaning your house/apartment of course. Since we are such nice beings we have made a mix of five great songs that will put a smile on your face while vacuuming, dusting, dishwashing (is that a word?) or whatever you're doing. Hope you like it, took us all together 2 days putting it together...

Levelling
We're going to be honest with you and speak directly from our heart and soul now: we got rid of the gayish light blue colour on the sides and replaced it with black but not really as we wanted it to be: solid black and not toning down to white because white is ridiculous. So that will be our next thing To Do. We have a Disclaimer for this Blog which reads something like this:
"All written material on this blog are ...."
Let's say it's a work in progress. Our intention with this blog then? Simple: it's about music, mainly GOOD music but now and again you might find some BAD music here when we think a warning is needed. If we find something that's UGLY you will know because it'll show on your screen.
Who decides what's GOOD, BAD and UGLY music then? We do! You can of course have a different opinion and then you are more than welcome to share it with us and the rest of the world if you want. See if we care...
Finally, for new readers not familiar with EB, here's a lazy dog explaining more graphically what the heck we're talking about:
As time fly while penguins don't we would like to say a few words about commenting. We are modern, self-righteous knights who can take a blow or two (figurally speaking) but we DO NOT accept death threats, against us or any other living creature, use of female body parts in any sentence if it's not crucial for the content and finally; using words like hip, hop, rap, snoop u.z.w.

Preposting
Yesterday, March 15, was the release day for French duo Krystal System's new album Rage and this is the title track video where Bonnie sings and play the guitar while 7 does almost everything else. It's not the best song on the album in my opinion but that doesn't mean the song isn't nice. There's something very fragile yet powerful with Bonnie's voice, not to mention her guitar play. I will dissect the album another time when I have listened to it more thorougly so until then, just enjoy this gem:
Editor's Note: this is not the first official blog in this series how odd it may sound so let me explain. We are only testing different settings in this new environment (Blogger) to get a feeling for how it works and we welcome all types of critic/comments about it. Thanks.
